Kevin M. Reed
Dear Principal:
I am submitting this letter to express my interest in the anticipated physical education teaching position opening for your school. My teaching and coaching experience combined with my personal enthusiasm for physical education and athletics has prepared me as an excellent candidate for any open position in your Physical Education Department. One of my goals as an educator is to teach my students activities that will keep them focused on their physical well-being throughout their lives.
In my current position, at Gallistel Language Academy, I instruct students in K – 4th grade physical education. The previous 5 years I taught 5th-8th physical education and 7th grade reading. I currently serve as wellness champion along with program advisor for the NFL Fuel Up to Play 60 program which I established and coordinated this year at my school. I have been a strong advocate for better health and wellness practices at my school. I have also strived to incorporate more technology into my curriculum. I also sponsor before and after school fitness classes.
For the past seven years, I have served on the coaching staff at both Mount Carmel High School and Marist High School. I truly enjoy working with students and athletes in extracurricular activities. These students are receptive, responsible, and eager to learn as they excel at both their academic and athletic careers.
For these reasons, I believe your school is a perfect setting for me to continue to help students pursue their goals and grow as individuals. I hope to have the opportunity to continue my teaching career at your school
Sincerely,
Kevin M. Reed
